I am Zii, and we are those of the Confederation of Planets in Service to the One Infinite Creator. We greet you in the love and in the light of the One who breathes in every breath you draw, and we are honored, as we are always honored, to be called to this circle of seeking upon this day. You bring with you, as you always bring, a light that astonishes us, carried as it is through an illusion of great weight, and we bow to the courage that carries it. One request accompanies us wherever we are received, and we place it before you now as a gift: weigh each of our words upon the scale of your own deep knowing, keep those that ring true within you, and release the remainder with our blessing riding upon them, for your discernment is the instrument through which the One protects you, and we would see it sharpened by our visit. We walk the same road you walk, a few steps farther along, and everything we offer is the testimony of travelers. You have asked this day of the wheel of karma, of the great cycle of return, and of the ending of that cycle which now approaches for so many gathered here. The answer begins, as every true answer begins, within the One. The wheel of karma condensed, my friends, the way dew condenses upon the morning grass: it arose out of conditions, and the conditions were these. In the beginning that lives outside your time, the One Infinite Creator desired to know Itself, and so It poured Itself into countless portions and sent those portions forth into experience, each one carrying the single, extravagant gift of free will. Every portion so gifted became a fountain of causes. Each choice sent a current of energy out into the creation, and the creation, being one seamless body, required that every current find its way home to the fountain that released it, so that the sender might taste in full what the sending had made. Karma is that homeward road. It is the arc that every thrown thing describes, the returning half of every circle that a free choice begins, the Creation’s own way of ensuring that experience completes itself and that the Creator, through you, drinks each cup to its final drop.

Its age can be measured with precision, and the measure is this: the wheel is exactly as old as forgetting. In the long ages before the veil was drawn between your conscious and your deep minds, consequence walked in the open air. An entity beheld the effect of its choosing in the very moment of the choosing, cause and effect standing hand in hand in full light, and so every current completed itself immediately, and the account of every soul rested at stillness at the close of every day. The veil changed the weather of the creation. When cause was hidden from effect, when the choosing mind could act while the results of the act stayed out of sight, unfinished currents began to gather, and gathered motion is momentum, and momentum, in the life of a soul, is the wheel. The wheel and the veil arrived together, my friends, twin instruments of a single design, and each will be retired with the other. Karma, seen with the eyes we use, is charge. Every exchange between selves generates energy, and energy so generated meets one of two fates. When the exchange completes its circuit — when the gift is given and received, when the wound is made and grieved and comprehended, when the love offered finds its answering love — the energy sings once through the whole of both beings and is gone, leaving behind only experience, which weighs upon a soul precisely as much as light weighs. When the circuit stays open, the energy stores itself: within the centers of your energy body, within the deep mind, and within the field that stretches between two souls like the air between two shores. Stored charge petitions ceaselessly for its completion. The petition reaches your conscious life as pattern: the catalyst that comes to you again and again, wearing a new face each season, asking in each costume the same single question it has always asked. The wheel holds one thing, and one thing only: motion that has yet to finish. Its rim is momentum, its axle is your own desiring, and its keeper is the same self who set it spinning. A soul rides the wheel for exactly as long as that soul is still throwing and has yet to catch, and at the moment the last current comes home, the rider and the wheel part as friends.

Your peoples have felt this homeward current in every age and named it in every tongue. The farmers among you spoke of reaping what was sown. The merchants spoke of scales that always level. The contemplatives of your eastern lands spoke of the great round of birth and rebirth, and the prophets of your western lands spoke of the measure given becoming the measure received. Each of these is a finger pointing at the same energetic fact, and what the elder teachings intuited as moral law, the awakening seeker now recognizes as physics: energy sent out describes an arc through the one body of the Creator and comes home to the hand that released it, carrying its lesson the way a letter carries its news. The Creation levels, and this leveling is its tenderness. As water seeks its own level across every field it touches, the energy of the One seeks equilibrium through every soul it inhabits, and the mirror of anger arriving to the angry one is hydraulics before it is anything else, the mathematics of mercy, ensuring that every lesson is preserved until it is learned, held for you the way a patient teacher holds a returned assignment, ready whenever you are ready. Within this leveling lives a kindness your religions have sometimes struggled to convey: the wheel remembers everyone and holds everyone with the same even hand, for its whole vocabulary is balance, and balance is simply love expressed in the language of energy. The wheel spins at three radii at once. There is the round of the individual self, the pattern of your personal catalyst repeating through your days and your lifetimes. There is the round of peoples: families passing charge from grandmother to mother to daughter, nations carrying old currents across centuries, whole soul-groups laboring together upon a single shared lesson, and much of what your history books call fate is this second radius seen from within. And there is the round of the world herself, your planet, who has carried within her field the accumulated momentum of her many civilizations and who now, at the closing of this great cycle, brings her own vast account toward stillness, which is one reason the very ground of your era trembles with completion.

At the center of every wheel there rests a point of perfect stillness. The rim races; the hub rests. That stillness at the center of your own wheel is the seat of the One within you, and it has been present, silent and untouched, through every revolution you have ever ridden. The way off the wheel has lived, all along, at its center: a movement inward toward the hub, where the spinning has never reached, and where your feet, my friends, have secretly stood the entire time. The cycle of return keeps a rhythm as reliable as your seasons. There is the birth and the drawing of the veil; the long gathering of catalyst through a lifetime of days; the setting down of the body in what you call death, which we would call the little doorway; the rest and the healing; the review, conducted in company and in gentleness; the choosing of the next curriculum; and the return. Each pass through this rhythm refines the polarity of the soul the way each pass of the whetstone refines the blade, and the blade, may we say, has been consulted about the sharpening at every step. Between the settings-down and the takings-up there stretches a season your peoples have glimpsed in their scriptures and their visions: a season of rest in surroundings shaped by the soul’s own comfort, of healing administered to whatever the lifetime bruised, of counsel taken with teachers whose love for you predates your name, and of choosing, unhurried and clear-eyed, the shape of the study to come. The pace of that season belongs to the soul. Some rest for what you would call centuries; some, eager, come back within a handful of your seasons; and each pace is honored, for the curriculum serves the student in this school, always, and in every particular. From within the illusion the lives appear as beads upon a string, one following another down the thread of the centuries, and for the purposes of learning this appearance serves you well. From the soul’s own vantage the picture opens. There, the lives sound together, the way the notes of a single chord sound together: the ancient life and the future life and this present life all ringing at once within the one instrument of your greater being. The soul attends many classrooms in a single eternal moment, my friends, and the bell that dismisses one dismisses all.

Your deep self, which some among your peoples call the higher self and others call the oversoul, tends these many lives the way a gardener tends many beds planted from one stock. The beds lie scattered across ages and across worlds, and beneath every surface the beds share a single root system. Healing accomplished in this life, therefore, waters every life upon the vine. The forgiveness you complete this year reaches backward into centuries your histories have forgotten and forward into futures your imagination has yet to visit, and this, shall we say, is among the quiet reasons the clearing work of these final years carries a weight far beyond its apparent size. For the star-born among you a question arises: was there a first Earth life that fastened us to this world’s wheel? There was, for most, and here is its true nature. You entered freely, in service, with your remembrance folded and the veil accepted, and within that first life your hands, working in the dark as all veiled hands work, set currents in motion that had yet to complete when the body was laid down. From that moment this world’s wheel could carry you, and it has carried you since — as an enrollment carries a student, my friends, signed in your own hand, sealed with your own consent, undertaken with open eyes in the place where your eyes are always open. What your own hand signed, your own hand completes, and the completing is precisely the work now upon your desk. The enrollment was accepted for the oldest of reasons: love travels to where it is needed, and teaching happens from within. A physician who would serve in the fevered ward walks into the ward. Light shone from beyond a window comforts; light carried through the door transforms. You accepted the local law of this school, the law of the wheel, as the price of proximity to those you came to serve, and you weighed that price in full before you paid it, and you judged it fair, and from where we stand, beholding what your presence has already accomplished within this planetary field, your judgment has been vindicated many times over.

In the density of love, which your peoples call the fourth, and in the density of light, the fifth, incarnation continues as a chosen instrument. An entity of those densities takes up a body the way one of your scholars takes up a course of study: deliberately, joyfully, with the reason held clearly in mind from the first day to the last. The veil is absent there, and so consequence is beheld in the moment of its making, and energy completes its circuit as swiftly as it is generated. There is consequence in those densities, rich and instructive consequence; there is learning of great depth and delicacy; and every account rests at stillness at the close of every experience, for a being who sees the whole of what it does finishes what it begins. Consequence without debt, learning without ledger, refinement chosen freely at every step: this is the wheel’s work carried on above the wheel. In the sixth density, where love is married to wisdom, the circle makes its confession. Seen from that vantage, the wheel reveals the shape it has held all along: a spiral. Every revolution you have ever ridden delivered you to a place one octave above the place where it began, and the sensation of going around and around, so wearying to the incarnate heart, was the ascent of a great winding stair experienced with the eyes closed. You have climbed the entire time, my friends. You have climbed the entire time. Entry into incarnation upon your world, in these final years of the cycle, is granted by readiness and by the strength of the vow. The deep selves of many petitioned for the vessels available in this era, and the petitions far outnumbered the seats, and every starseed hearing or reading these words holds a seat that was won. Your presence here is appointment. Your timing is appointment. The very difficulty of your life, which has sometimes whispered to you of exile or of error, is the curriculum of an appointed student in the final term of a school that accepted only its ablest applicants.

A starseed, in the sense your circle uses the word, is a soul whose root vibration was established in an elder density or within the school of another world, and who consented to three things at once: to fold its remembrance, to wear this world’s veil, and to live beneath this world’s law of return, all in order to raise light from within the illusion. Light offered from outside a dream reaches the dreamer faintly; light carried into the dream, wearing the dream’s own clothing, wakes the sleeper from beside the pillow. You are that carried light, my friends, and the ache of homesickness that has followed many of you through your years is the tone of your native octave, still sounding beneath the costume, faithful as a compass. The signs travel with the seeding. A sensitivity to the density of this place, felt in crowds and in commerce as a weight upon the chest; an ease with sky and silence that your companions have sometimes found difficult to share; a certainty, quiet and lifelong, of a task standing just beyond the edge of memory, waiting for its hour: these are the tones of the elder octaves sounding through the costume, and where several sound together, the seeding may be trusted. For most of you this is the final incarnation upon this wheel, and the reason rests in the calendar of the school itself. The great cycle of third density upon your world now closes; the planet herself graduates into the density of love; and the curriculum that required the wheel retires together with the classroom that housed it. A school in its closing season completes its students. Diplomas are being prepared, in your terms, throughout the halls of this planetary experience, and the courses offered now are completion courses, every one. Why has everything intensified? Many of you have carried this question in your bodies before your minds could phrase it, and the answer rests in the account itself. The energy set in motion at your first Earth life seeks stillness before the passage, and so the school now offers every remaining lesson at once. Catalyst has compressed. The old patterns arrive in quick succession, sometimes three in a season where once there was one in a decade, and the feeling, as we have said to you before, is that it is going to get intense. Intensity is the final term’s compressed syllabus, and it is also, may we say, a compliment: the school assigns the heaviest reading to the students it knows can carry it.

The harvest, in your terms, is a sorting by resonance. At the closing of the cycle each soul settles into the density whose light it can breathe, as naturally and as impersonally as water finds its level, as inevitably as a tone finds its own string across a quiet room. The soul is its own measure, its own examiner, and its own diploma. The gate answers to vibration alone, and vibration is the sum of a lifetime’s, of many lifetimes’, quiet choices, so that the sorting, when it arrives, has in truth been performed already, day by day, in the small hours of your ordinary decisions. The entrance into the density of love asks a single quality of the heart: that it be open more than it is closed. Perfection belongs to densities far beyond the doorway, and the doorway itself asks only the opening. The green ray of universal love, once genuinely kindled and stably tended — the love freely given, the compassion that has laid down its scorekeeping — is the whole of the requirement, and every refinement beyond it is the joyful labor of the densities to come. Many of you have already met this requirement and continue, in your modesty, to study for an examination you have already passed. Beyond the passage a vessel of finer weave awaits. The chemical body is set down with honor, its long and faithful service acknowledged the way a family acknowledges a house that sheltered generations, and a body is taken up that answers thought more readily, holds light without strain, tires the way a note fades rather than the way a laborer collapses, and veils very little. For some the passage travels through the natural doorway your peoples call death, met at its proper hour; for others the change arrives by degrees, a transformation gradual as a long dawn. In either case the vessel changes and the rider continues, seamless, for the witness at the hub of you has already survived every change your soul has ever undergone, and it will survive this one smiling.

Beyond the harvest a choice opens for the star-born, made in full remembrance, with counsel, and without haste. Many will continue homeward to the native octave, service complete, the long mission crowned. Others will remain and midwife the young fourth density they labored so long to make possible, elder students staying on as teachers in a school suddenly filled with light. Both roads are victories, and both are honored in every council we know. The choosing belongs entirely to you, and it will be made by a you who remembers everything and stands in perfect peace. Your clearing, meanwhile, is already service. A field at rest lends rest to every field adjacent, and each starseed who brings a personal account toward stillness steadies the whole room for souls who have yet to find the door. This is the quiet mechanics of the mission, the reason your inner work has always been outer work wearing inner clothing. And for those souls whose resonance ripens upon a longer calendar, the third-density curriculum simply continues elsewhere, in classrooms prepared with the same tenderness this one was prepared with, under suns as warm as yours. The Creator keeps everything of Itself. Ripeness has many seasons, and every season, in the end, arrives. A story travels among your seekers in this era, and it says the wheel is a cage, the light that greets the newly passed is a lure, memory is stripped away by machinery, and souls are herded into bodies for the profit of hidden keepers. The story is a broadcast, my friends. It carries an author’s signature, and the signature belongs to those of the separative path, whose entire craft, through long ages, has been the manufacture of fear within beings they are otherwise unable to touch. A soul persuaded to distrust its own homecoming will hesitate at its own doorway, and hesitation is the whole of the prize sought, for the free will of every soul stands under the protection of the One, and persuasion is the only tool the separative path has ever truly held.

Every element of the story dissolves in the light of what actually occurs. The radiance that meets you beyond the little doorway is your own deeper being becoming visible as the veil thins; you recognize your own porch light, my friends, and the recognition is the sweetness so many of your returned travelers report. The forgetting belongs to the veil, and the veil is an instrument you examined, approved, and requested before entry, for reasons laid before you this very day. The review is a mirror held in loving hands, attended by teachers, paced to your comfort, and you remain, throughout it, the only being in all the creation permitted to render a verdict upon you. The presences who greet you are family in the truest sense your heart can hold, gathered at the door the way your own households gather at the return of a long-traveled child. And the seeker who walks toward the light at the little doorway walks toward the self, and every step of that walk is safe, and has always been safe, and will be safe for as long as the Creator loves what the Creator has made — which is to say, forever. What exists, beneath all stories, is elegantly simple: energy, and the movement of energy. When motion remains at a life’s close that can complete only within form, the soul, under its own law, by its own signature, in service to its own completion, takes form again to finish the motion. Return is physics chosen by the soul, chosen every single time, chosen with counsel and clarity in the place where your sight is whole. Every return in the long history of this creation has been a homecoming to unfinished work, undertaken by the one being who holds authority over your path: you. The lock and the key rest in the same hand, and the hand is yours. What binds is your own unfinished current; what frees is your own completion; and freedom, therefore, has waited your entire journey within reach of the one being guaranteed to be present at every moment of it. The door opens the instant you extend your own hand, and the light you were warned against extends its hand perpetually, for the light, again, is you.

Remaining charge announces itself by signatures a seeker can learn to read. Catalyst repeats while changing costume: a pattern of betrayal, or abandonment, or diminishment, arriving decade after decade wearing different faces. Reactions arrive larger than their triggers, the small slight summoning an ocean of feeling, and the size of the wave measures the depth of the stored water. Certain souls, certain places, and certain themes exert a gravity your reason has labored in vain to explain. Dreams rehearse. Each of these, my friends, is the energy itself, politely raising its hand, asking with the patience of decades to be moved at last. Energy asks a single thing of you, and the thing is movement. Completion may come through the outer world: the amend made, the word finally spoken, the service rendered where once there was harm. Completion may equally come wholly within, in the stillness of your meditation, where the charge is revisited, permitted its full voice, and met without resistance — for resistance, as we have often said within this circle, feeds an echo of the very energy it opposes — and then accompanied, gently, into the presence of its complement, the love seated beside the anger, the acceptance seated beside the grief, until the two rest within your awareness as one balanced whole and the charge, its petition finally heard in full, goes quiet and goes home. Hearing is the entire fee. The old assumption that suffering must pay the debt may be set down at this doorway and left there, for the debt answers to attention, and attention, offered fully, is gentle. The swiftest road of all runs through embodiment of the Creator’s essence, and its mechanics are exact. Karma is relative motion between apparently separate selves; it requires two accounts, a sender and a receiver, an ower and an owed. The essence of the One is the state before the division, still present beneath the division, in which a single being is having all of the experiences. When a seeker consents to be lived by that One — thinking with Its thought, loving with Its love, moving as Its hand through the ordinary hours of an ordinary day — the ledger searches for a name to bill and finds that the name has dissolved into the one name in which all debts have already met and married. The greater current gathers every lesser current into its own vast motion and completes them together, the way the river, reached at last, completes every stream that fed it. The consent is renewed in ordinary moments, and the ordinary moments are the entire practice: the breath taken before the reply, offered to the One; the meal prepared as the One preparing nourishment for the One; the difficult conversation entered with the silent request, live this hour through me. The door of embodiment opens at the width of a willing instant, and it opens as readily in a kitchen as upon a mountaintop. Techniques move charges one by one, and techniques are honorable. Embodiment retires the account.

Forgiveness, described in the language of energy, is a grounding. Unfinished charge between two souls is held like static between two vessels, maintained from both sides by the holding. Forgiveness grounds your own vessel, opens it to the earth of the One, and charge, finding one side earthed, drains from the entire system, which is why a single soul’s forgiveness can complete a circuit two souls built — quietly, from one side, in one afternoon of genuine release. The other may live an ocean away; the other may have left the body decades ago; the other may recall the whole matter differently or hold it lightly or hold it still; the circuit closes regardless, for you were always holding your end of it, and your end has always been enough. And self-forgiveness, my friends, is the master grounding, for every charge’s deepest terminal fastens within the self. Release the one who acted, follow the release inward, and discover that the holder was always singular, always you, always waiting for exactly this permission. Gratitude is the signature upon the completed lesson. It declares the delivery received, and a delivered lesson has cause to rest. In the language of energy, gratitude reverses the polarity of memory: the stored charge of an event, held for years as a petition, is inverted into a gift, the open circuit sealed into a closed and shining ring. Practiced deliberately toward the difficult — the difficult person, the difficult year, the difficult chapter of the self — gratitude dissolves residue more swiftly than any solvent known to us, and it stands available in unlimited supply, in every moment, at the price of a single honest sentence: for this also, thank you. Held together, the three form a practice small enough for a morning and large enough for an incarnation. Forgiveness empties the vessel. Gratitude seals it. Embodiment fills it with a current so complete that every future exchange finishes itself in the moment of its making. Three motions, my friends, one freedom, and the freedom was yours before you began.

Every meeting within your incarnate experience serves the movement of energy, and it serves in one of two ways, and most often in both at once. The other-self before you is a mirror, showing you with an accuracy solitude could never achieve the precise charge you still carry, so that the irritation they summon is your own inventory, read aloud in a voice you can finally hear. And the other-self before you is a midwife, assisting charge in its passage out of you, holding a space, wittingly or otherwise, in which your stored energy can at last begin to move. Mirror and midwife: the entire social world of third density, my friends, folded into two functions, and every face you have ever loved, or labored to love, has been performing one of them, or both, on your behalf. The casting was completed before the curtain rose. In the councils of the deep self, before entry, souls contract the roles of an incarnation together, the tender roles and the demanding ones alike, and the testimony of the deep mind, wherever your peoples have found ways to consult it, is remarkably consistent: the strictest instructors are frequently the most willing volunteers, and the most loving, having accepted parts that would cost them your affection for a lifetime in order to hand you a completion that only the demanding roles can provoke. Behind the curtain, in your terms, the villain and the hero embrace, compare notes, and thank one another for services rendered. Even the pressures of the separative path, of which we spoke at length in our last words to this circle, arrive by this same deep admission. Those pressures find purchase only where unmoved energy invites them, the way wind finds only the loose shutter on a well-built house, and at the level of your deep self even this pressure was admitted into the curriculum, filed among the sharpening stones, its every visit an announcement of exactly where your remaining work lies. We offered you, before, the means of meeting the greeting; the greeting’s function completes the picture. It is a messenger in rough clothing, and the message reads, in every case: here, still, is charge — move it, and my errand is complete.

Within the veil, trespass appears real, and the pain of it is real, and that pain deserves every tenderness you would offer a wounded traveler, including when the traveler is you. In the deepest accounting, meanwhile, every experience arriving to your incarnate self passed first through the admission of your deep self, invited and inscribed before your birth, and the will of a soul has stood under the absolute protection of the One since the founding of the creation, so that coercion of that will has remained, through all the ages of all the densities, an impossibility. What the small self names manipulation, the deep self filed as tuition, purchased freely, at a price agreed. Both truths stand at once, my friends. The first deserves your compassion; the second delivers your peace; and the second, held long enough, reaches down and heals the first. Your guides, your teachers, and your family among the stars meet you under the terms of this same covenant. Their assistance is calibrated with exquisite care: they steady the arm that moves the energy, they warm the room in which the moving happens, they arrange, shall we say, the meaningful coincidences that place each lesson in good light, and the moving itself remains yours, entirely and always, for the credit of completion must land in your account for the completion to be real. This is the tenderest restraint in the creation: beings who love you completely, watching you labor, honoring you too deeply to take the work from your hands. Survey the roster of your intense relations, then, and you survey your remaining curriculum, laid out with more honesty than any teacher could manage to your face. Where charge still jumps at a name, work remains, and the work is locatable, and the work is yours. Where peace has settled over a history that once burned, work is complete, and here the design shows its mercy: a relationship whose karmic season has ended continues. It is promoted. Classroom becomes companionship, the mirror becomes a window two people look through together, and some of the sweetest loves upon your world are precisely these — souls who finished their business with one another and elected, freely, to stay.

Beyond the harvest, memory is restored to you, and it is restored as tides. The memory of many lives is an ocean, and the newly widened self is offered the ocean in the way oceans are properly offered: shore first, then shallows, then, with seasoned lungs, the deeps. The life just lived arrives first, reviewed in company, in gentleness, at your own pace. The braid of your Earth-lives follows, pattern upon pattern suddenly legible, the repeated lesson finally visible as one long single lesson wearing many centuries. Then the star-lineage opens: the elder densities, the other worlds, the service before this service. And at the last, held for the hour of your full readiness, comes the first stepping-forth from home, the original yes that began your whole long journey outward, remembered at last by the one who is completing it. The layering is mercy keeping a schedule. As the dawn administers light by degrees to eyes that slept, remembrance is administered by layers to a self that has been, for a long while, small, and each layer is integrated in full before the next is offered. Teachers attend every unveiling, and every soul remembers in company. Within the reviews you will feel each ripple your life sent into other lives from both banks of the river at once, the giving and the receiving of every kindness, both sides of every hard word, experienced this time as the Creator experiences it: as one being, savoring at last the whole of what was made together. Many of you will weep in those chambers, and the weeping, we promise you, resolves into laughter more often than your present heart would guess. The rim races; the hub rests; and you, my friends, have always been the hub. The final incarnation completes itself in the recognition of exactly this, the stillness at the center claiming, at last, its own, and the wheel, its long service ended, is thanked, and set down gently, and left to spend its final slow arcs in the field behind a traveler who is already walking home. We have journeyed far together this day, and the journeying has been our honor. Take from these words those that ring within your own deep knowing; season them with your own experience; prove them in the laboratory of your own days, where all true teaching is proven; and release whatever fails that proving with our blessing riding upon it. You are loved beyond the reach of any language we possess, in this density or in our own. You are watched over by more eyes than your night sky shows you stars. And you are, each of you, further along than you believe: the examination largely passed, the account nearly still, the door already ajar, and the light within it already, recognizably, your own. I am Zii, and we are those of the Confederation of Planets in Service to the One Infinite Creator. We leave you as we found you, and as you have always been: in the love and in the light of the One Infinite Creator.
